Ramadan Competitions
Awards Conferral Ceremony 2007

IMWA (Indian Muslim Welfare Association) held Awards Function on Friday, 7th December 2007 for the winners of its prestigious Abdullah Hamza Dalvi Ramadan Competitions at Al-Najat (Boys) School in Salmiya, Kuwait.  The Program commenced with the recitation of Qur’anic verses. Mir Ibrahim Ali Khan, the president of IMWA gave a brief introduction of IMWA in his presidential address. The Director of Da wa Affairs of IPC (Islam Presentation Committee, Kuwait) Shaikh Khaled Abdullah Al-Sab e was attended the ceremony as Guest of Honor.

Memento - First Prize

(Awards Conferral Ceremony - December 7, 2007, Al Najat Boys School - Salmiya)

Islamic skit were presented by children from Indian English Academy (Don Bosco) School and Jabriya Indian school. 63 boys and girls from 10 different schools were conferred with awards for their outstanding performance in Qur an recitation, Elocution and Islamic quiz. Senior members of IMWA and other dignitaries distributed mementos and award certificates to the winners.  Dr. Ahmed Gazi delivered vote of thanks and Abdul Azeem Majgaonkar convened the award conferral ceremony.

IMWA had been conducting this Ramadan Competitions for the school children from the countries where Muslims are in minority. This year hundreds of students from at least 5 countries and from 17 different schools participated in Ramadan Competitions. All the participants shall also be issued certificates through their respective schools.
