DA'WAH ACTIVITIES:
On November 4, 1997 in collaboration with KKIC,
Kuwait Kerala Islahi Center a three day mega event was conducted.
Other than expatriate community a good number of Kuwaiti residents too attended a
this
lecture series by Dr. Zakir Naik. Lectures were held in
different parts of Kuwait. Thousands of people benefited
from this event. IMWA has lately organized many such
Da'wah lectures series by inviting renowned Dai's
like Dr. Bilal Philips, Dr. Jamal Badawi and others.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES:
IMWA conducts educational seminars inviting students
from all schools of Kuwait irrespective of cast, creed or
religion to participate in Debate and Quiz Competitions, Career
Guidance etc. In recent past IMWA held a mega Educational
Meet
in Indian Embassy from morning till late night. Eminent
educational stalwart in Kuwait attended the event. More than 600
students from the Indian Schools in Kuwait were
present.

MEDICAL & DENTAL SEMINAR:
In the past 10 years IMWA has organized Health
Seminars like General Health Seminar, and Oral Health Seminar in
1996 and 1998 respectively in Indian Embassy Hall, which were
attended by thousands of people. On these occasions we issued
Health Guidance, and Oral Health Guide. In 2002 IMWA conducted a successful seminar
on cardiac diseases and their treatment by well known
cardiologists of Kuwait in Indian Community School Salmiya,
which was very well appreciated by the community.

RAMADAN COMPETITION:
IMWA conducts Abdullah Hamza Dalvi memorial Ramadan Competition on regular
basis every year in the month of Ramadan. This
competition has gained prestige through years and has
become a popular event in the month of Ramadan.
This is a nation competition and school children are eager to take
part in it. The winners are conferred with the
awards to encourage their religious learning skills. This
competition is named after IMWA's late President, Abdullah
Hamza Dalvi.

IFTAR TO SAIM:
IMWA has been conducting Camp Iftar in
various labour camps in Kuwait. This Camp Iftar
was held in collaboration with IPC. IMWA's team of
volunteers make all kind of arrangements during these Iftar
get-together in the camps.

FINANCIAL AID:
IMWA gives scholarships to the needy from any
part of India. IMWA responses to any distress call may
it be financial or for rendering any official help to
the needy through its good offices in the Embassy or in
Kuwait.

EID MILAN:
The families of all IMWA members meet twice a
year to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-Al-Adha. IMWA
also conducts picnic to bring all the members
together. Separate arrangement for ladies are made.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES:
IMWA conducts sports activities and some times
rendered training course for cricket and other sports. Twice a year games are conducted for adults and children
to promote sports for which prizes are distributed.

ISLAMIC LECTURES:
IMWA used to hold
Islamic lectures on Friday after Isha Prayers by well qualified
Islamic scholars in
various mosques of Kuwait. The lectures were held
on a regular basis in Nasir Al-Khanna Mosque on Amman Street,
Salmiya. The lectures followed by questions and answers.

WOMEN CELL:
IMWA has been conducting, Islamic lectures by
Lady Scholars on regular basis on every Thursday after
Asr prayers in Masjid Abdullah Al-Wuhaib near Indian
Shool Salmiya. The Women Cell has been conducting many
competitions in the past for the benefit of women folk..

FAHAHEEL OPERATIONAL
CELL:
This cell was inaugurated by Mr. KJS
Sodhi Councilor on the occasion of farewell given to him
by IMWA. This operational cell was formed with the
increase of membership in Fahaheel Area and the
operation of the cell is under the supervision of
Executive Committee that appointed a local convener for
the same.

LIAISON WITH THE INDIAN
EMBASSY:
IMWA is registered with Indian Embassy in Kuwait. IMWA keeps a constant contact with the Embassy and
always its representatives attend all the meeting called
by His Excellency the Ambassador of India. IMWA responds
to any distress call by the Embassy and contribute to
the collection of funds, for any notional calamity. The
former
president of IMWA was one of the wardens selected by the
Embassy during the days of the threat of war from Saddam
Hussain.

LIAISON WITH THE PEOPLE
OF KUWAIT:
IMWA sent its civil volunteers to the civil
defense of Kuwait during the war crises faced by the
Kuwaiti people. We at IMWA always take privilege in
building bridges between the people of our host country
and India. |
